- In a splendid bay, overlooking the sea, at a short distance from the centre of Cefalù, the Hotel “ Le Calette “ is characterized by its natural adaptation to the surrounding environment. Le Calette has always been able to provide completely relaxing holidays in close contact with nature.
Situated in one of the most beautiful corners of Sicily the Hotel enjoys its position by the sea, just a few kilometres from the Madonie Mountain chain, thus offering the uncontaminated beauty of a natural parkland and its fauna. A rail way line runs behind the Hotel covered by sound absorbing panels .
Cefalù with its Norman buildings, its fishing village, the streets and tiny alleyways that from the centre all slope downwards to the sea, is testimony to the history, tradition and culture of all the different populations who over the centuries have left their mark. The Hotel Le Calette therefore offers the pleasure of spending a holiday with an abundance of history and nature, open air sport activities and entertainment.
Cefalu is one of the most impressive towns by the sea in Sicily, with a picturesque harbour from which one observes the characteristic front on the sea of the walled city, with the arches that provide shelter to boats. Located on the northern coast of Sicily, at one end the Gulf of Termini Imerese, it lies on a peninsula with its steep sloping edges and at the east it is dominated by the "Rocca", a limestone rock that falls sheer into the sea. The climate, typically Mediterranean, enjoys warm and dry summers, mitigated by ventilation, and mild and moderately rainy winters. Cefalu is a tourist resort of great interest for Italian and foreign tourists and preferred destination for Sicilians on short trips; located within the Madonie Park, besides being an important seaside resort with a wide range of rocky and sandy beaches, it is very little distant from its most famous mountain villages.
